WPJF Concludes Zoom Meeting for 2025 Peace Awards Preparation

Islamabad: A significant Zoom meeting was held by the World Peace Journalists Forum on Sunday night to discuss the planning and coordination for the upcoming World Peace Achievement Award Conference, which is scheduled to take place in South Korea in December 2025.

The virtual session, which began at 10:00 PM Korea Standard Time, served as a foundational step in the run-up to the prestigious international event. One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the selection of the theme for the World Peace Journalists Peace Awards 2025, which will be formally announced in an upcoming executive session in South Korea.

The forum decided to hold a pre-conference executive body meeting in South Korea to finalize critical arrangements including the award designs, logistical setup, and the official ceremony framework. Furthermore, it was confirmed that the second Zoom meeting will take place on April 27, 2025, to share updates and progress.

As part of the meeting’s administrative decisions, it was declared that Taiwan will not be included in the executive body, while Hong Kong will be treated as a part of China for the purposes of international representation. The announcement of executive body members from other countries is expected to follow during the in-person meeting in South Korea.
