About WJF

The World Journalists Federation (WJF) was founded in 2022 as the National Federation of Journalists in Pakistan and is headquartered in Pakistan. Its first president was Abid Siddique Chaudhry from Pakistan and the General Secretary was Wasif Ali Khan. In 2024 The Federation got lot of interest from Other Countries Journalists So the Executive Body Decided to Expand Federations so that can Help the Journalist through a Safer Channel and Safer Place,

  • A Zoom Meeting was Called in 2024 and the journalists from Pakistan, South Korea, Nepal, Attended. And decided to change the name to the World Journalists Federation (WJF). At that time, it represented about 40 media workers from 4 countries
  • Due to the unstable situation in Afghanistan, the political situation in Pakistan was also affected, so it was decided that South Korea was a peaceful country and should be made the headquarters
  • In the first Zoom meeting held in 2024, it was decided to get the World Journalists Federation (WJF) registered regularly. In this meeting. Ir fanghafoor was elected as the President and Abid Chaudhry as the General Secretary for a period of 3 years.
  • Now the WJF has about 500 members from Pakistan, South Korea, Nepal, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Uzbekistan, Zimbabwe, USA, Kenya, UAE, Poland, Philippines, Portugal,
